Who you're dealing with

Imprint by Sem Polak is a label of Unfolded, registered in the Netherlands. "We" and "us" in these terms mean Unfolded. We make the software and license it to you.

Polar is our reseller

You buy Pro from Polar Software, Inc., our online reseller and merchant of record. Polar handles the checkout, the payment, the VAT and your invoice, under its Checkout Buyer Terms. Your right to use the software comes from us, under these terms. Your bank statement will show Polar.

What you get

Imprint is a free Mac app. It installs our tools in your editor, keeps them up to date and holds your licence.

Time Shift Blur, free. A set of looks that are free for good, without a watermark. You can also try the Pro looks and controls, with a watermark on the image.

Time Shift Blur Pro. Every look and control, no watermark, and updates included. One payment, no subscription. You buy it per editor: Pro for DaVinci Resolve, Pro for Premiere Pro, or a bundle for both.

Pro for one editor does not unlock the other. That editor stays on the free version until you buy Pro for it as well.

You need a Mac with macOS 13 or later and your own copy of DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro. Those are products of Blackmagic Design and Adobe. They are not included, and we are not affiliated with either. Try the free version first: it shows you how it runs on your Mac.

Delivery

Pro is delivered digitally. After you pay, you find your licence key in your customer portal. Enter it in Imprint to activate Pro.

Price

The price and any VAT are shown in the checkout before you pay. You pay once. If we change the price later, that never affects a purchase you have already made.

Refunds

Sales are final. Pro is delivered digitally and you can use it right away, so we don't give refunds if you change your mind. Try it first: the free version shows how it runs on your Mac, and you can try every Pro look and control with a watermark.

If something is wrong

If Pro doesn't work as described, or you were charged twice, write to us from the email address you bought with, or include your order number. We'll fix it. If we can't, you get your money back through Polar, to the way you paid.

What happens to your licence after a refund

Your key is withdrawn. You can't activate it on another Mac and you no longer get updates. A copy that is already activated keeps working as it is. We don't put a watermark over work you have already started.

Polar may also issue a refund under its own terms. Nothing here limits the rights you have under consumer law.

Your licence

You don't buy the software itself, you buy the right to use it. Imprint and Time Shift Blur, including every look, preset, animation, design and name, remain our copyrighted work.

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence for one person. It lets you:

• activate Pro, in the editor or editors you bought it for, on up to 2 Macs that you personally use at the same time, and release a Mac in your customer portal when you change computers. A bundle is one key with 2 Macs in total, not 2 per editor;
• use it in unlimited personal and commercial projects, including client work, social media, advertising, film, broadcast and streaming;
• publish, sell and license the videos you make with it, without credit (though a tag is always appreciated);
• keep using the version you have. A Pro licence does not expire.

If several people on a team want to use it, each of them needs their own licence. The same rules apply to the free looks, without a key.

What's not allowed

You may not:

• share, forward, upload or otherwise pass on your licence key, activation code or the software, in private or in public, free or paid;
• let someone else use your licence, or activate it for them;
• sell, rent, lend, sublicense, bundle or give away the software, in whole or in part;
• include the looks, presets, animations or any part of the effect in your own plugins, presets, templates, packs, courses or other products;
• copy, decompile, extract, reverse engineer or rebuild the software or its looks;
• get around the licence check, or remove or hide the watermark or copyright notices;
• use the software or its looks to train, fine-tune or prompt AI or machine-learning systems;
• present the software or its looks as your own work.

If this goes wrong

Our software is protected by copyright under the Dutch Copyright Act and international treaties. Passing it on without our written permission is copyright infringement and a breach of this agreement.

In that case your licence ends immediately and without a refund, and your key is withdrawn. We can claim damages, including lost revenue. Under Dutch law (Article 1019h of the Code of Civil Procedure) we can also recover our full legal costs. We have infringing copies removed through takedown notices, and we report serious cases to the authorities (Articles 31 to 31b of the Dutch Copyright Act).

Updates and support

Pro includes updates: when we release new looks or improvements to Time Shift Blur, you get them at no extra cost through Imprint. We decide what goes into an update and when it comes out. Updates are not a promise of specific features or a fixed schedule, and development may stop at some point. The version you have keeps working. Whether it works with future versions of DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro also depends on Blackmagic Design and Adobe, so we can't guarantee that.

Your data

Polar processes your order and payment under its Privacy Policy. We can see your order details and use them to deliver your licence and give you support.

When you activate Pro, Imprint sends your key and a machine code to our activation service, which checks them with Polar. Imprint otherwise only goes online to check for updates. Your footage and projects are never sent. We don't sell your details. Want them removed? Email us.

No guarantees, limited liability

We make our tools with care, but they are provided "as is". We don't guarantee that they work with every version of your editor, every Mac or every type of footage, that they run without errors, or that they give a particular result in your project.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit, lost data, missed deadlines or damage to projects, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any right you have under mandatory consumer law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. Changes apply to downloads and purchases made after they are published here, not to purchases you have already completed.

Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law says otherwise. If part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
